Jagermeister is 35% ABV and is made with various spices and herbs. All those ingredients give it a unique flavor you’re sure to enjoy. Plus, it’s perfect for mixing into all sorts of different cocktails. It doesn’t matter if you’re in the mood for something sweet or spicy. There’s sure to be a couple of Jagermeister drinks that will fit the bill. So get ready to party with this potent drink!
1. California Surfer Cocktail
Were you of legal drinking age in the 1990s? If so, you probably had a California surfer cocktail or two. Other than the famous Jager-bomb, it’s perhaps the most popular Jagermeister drink. It’s a quick, simple drink to make, requiring 3 minutes and 3 ingredients. Add Jagermeister to pineapple juice and coconut rum. Toss in some ice, shake well, and you’re all set. It’s a slightly sweet, somewhat spicy, and totally tropical cocktail, and most people enjoy it.
2. Jägermeister Old-Fashioned
The traditional old fashioned contains rye (or bourbon), bitters, and a sugar cube. This four-ingredient cocktail adds Jagermeister into the mix. It also substitutes maple syrup for the sugar cube. It’s ready to drink once you add a dash of bitters and an orange twist garnish. It’s earthy, robust, and just a tad bit citrusy. The maple syrup helps calm the sharpest, bitterest edges. All in all, it’s an excellent drink to have after dinner while smoking a cigar.
3. The Inside Scoop Cocktail
Do you enjoy root beer floats? Do you like booze? If so, this is the perfect combination of both. It’s sweetly bitter like root beer floats always are. The Jagermeister adds an earthy, licorice-like flavor. It pairs surprisingly well with all the other ingredients. And, of course, ice cream is always delicious. It’s a thick, frothy drink with an interesting, complex taste. It’ll give you serious nostalgia vibes and leave you feeling nice and tipsy.
4. Jägermeister Sour
This bright, spiced, citrusy drink is for those who prefer sour to sweet. It has a vibrant, zingy taste that’s somewhat hard to describe. It’s like a whiskey sour, though it has richer undertones. I love the thick, frothy top, but the drink is pretty good even without it.
5. Jägermeister Mule
This crisp, refreshing drink is Jagermeister’s answer to the Moscow mule. It’s a mild, clean-tasting drink that combines Jager and ginger beer. Add a lime wedge and cucumber slice as garnishes, and you’re done. The recipe time says 5 minutes, but it actually takes far less time than that. If you want a quick and easy summer drink, the Jagermeister mule is perfect.
6. German Vacation
We should really call the German Vacation the “Trip Around the World.” The plethora of flavors in every sip certainly spans the globe. The recipe’s original author says it best: “With its unique mix of ingredients, the German Vacation actually takes you across Germany, France, and Central America, with a quick stop in New Orleans, the original home of Peychaud’s.” That’s not far off the mark, either! There’s something new to experience with every mouthful. You’ll notice ginger, vanilla, coconut, almond, and more. There’s even a smoky woodsiness! It’s an incredible drink that I’m sure you’ll love. If you haven’t tried it, you need to do so right away.
7. MasterMix Cocktail
This pretty pink cocktail is a classic martini with Jager instead of vodka or gin. It’s light, sweet, tart, and floral. The undertones of spice and herbs are delightful, as well. It’s a good choice if you’re looking for something a little lighter.
8. Jagermeister Drink (Rootbeer)
It doesn’t get much simpler than two-ingredient drinks. For this one, you’ll combine root beer and Jagermeister. As you’ve probably already guessed, those two flavors pair well together. They blend so nicely. In fact, this tastes like root beer with a kick. So if you already love root beer but want something boozy, it’s the drink for you.
9. Bed of Roses Cocktail
Do you enjoy tantalizingly tart drinks? If so, you’ll have to try the bed of roses. This gorgeous red drink is insanely citrusy with just a hint of sweetness. It’s light and tangy, almost like herbal-infused lemonade. It’s sure to tickle your tastebuds and make your mouth pucker all at the same time.
10. Colt 45 Cocktail
I’ve seen several versions of the Colt 45 cocktail through the years. However, this one is by far the simplest. You’ll need only gin, Jagermeister, and a Red Bull. It’s a robust, slightly bitter cocktail meant for sipping, not shooting. It’ll give you a nice buzz and a boost of energy simultaneously. If you’re not a big fan of energy drinks, you might not like it. However, if you can’t go a day without a Red Bull, you won’t be able to resist.
11. Winter Warmer Mulled Sangria
Mmmmm… I love good sangria. Summer, winter, fall, it doesn’t matter. I could enjoy well-made sangria 365 days a year. This one uses club soda, Jagermeister, and red wine. To that mixture, you add pomegranate liqueur and cranberry-pomegranate juice. Then, toss in some fresh cranberries and pomegranate arils. Mix in some mulling spices, and that’s all it takes. You have a rich, warm, sensationally spiced sangria that’s also entirely festive!
12. Black Raven Cocktail
This beautiful black drink is 100% Edgar Allan Poe-approved. Okay, no, it isn’t, but only because he never got to try it. Otherwise, I’m sure it would have been his signature cocktail. You’ll love its shimmering black color and bright red cherries. The combination is somewhere between spooky and magical. The taste is sweet and spiced. It includes Jägermeister, spiced rum, and Coca-Cola. It has a bold, burn-on-the-way-down flavor that no one will forget.
13. Jäger Bomb
Ah, the traditional Jager bomb! You didn’t think I would leave this one off the list, did you? Of course not. It’s a classic party drink! If you were drinking in the early 2000s, you’ve almost certainly tried a Jager Bomb. It’s similar to the Colt 45 cocktail, but with more panache. (And no gin!) To make it, you’ll pour a Red Bull into a glass. Then, you drop an entire shot (glass and all) of Jager into the glass. Then, knock it back. I’ll be honest. It takes a stomach of lead to enjoy more than a couple of these at a time. But hey, if you want to get tipsy fast, here’s the way to do it.
