For anyone who doesn’t know, Jamba Juice, or Jamba, is a California-based chain restaurant that specializes in – you guessed it! – smoothies. They also sell baked goods and other foods, but if you’re headed to Jamba, you’re probably looking for a sweet, creamy smoothie. For this list, I’ve pulled together 10 of my all-time favorite Jamba Juice smoothies, and believe me, narrowing them down no easy feat. If you’re a smoothie fanatic like me, get ready for your mouth to start watering because these recipes are some of the best.
1. Caribbean Passion Smoothie
Maybe it’s just the image of Captain Jack Sparrow in my mind, but somehow, the words “Caribbean” and “passion” pretty much go hand-in-hand. Either way, I’m definitely passionate about this delicious pink smoothie. It doesn’t hurt that I can make it in about a minute flat on my busiest mornings, either. All you’ll need to whip it up is a cup of mango passion fruit juice, some strawberries, peaches, orange sherbert, and half a cup of ice. Throw everything in your blender, and a minute later, you’ll enjoy the rich tropical flavors of your favorite remote island paradise.
2. Strawberries Wild
This scrumptious strawberry smoothie takes a little bit longer to make than the Caribbean passion smoothie, so you may want to save it for mornings when you have a little extra time. Of course, by “extra time,” I mean 3 minutes, which is precisely how long it takes to make this one, which also requires only five ingredients. Every smoothie on this list is one of my favorites, but I go nuts for strawberries and bananas, so this one is probably at the top of the list. With frozen strawberries, a frozen banana, some apple juice, ice, and half a cup of Organic Rice Dream’s vanilla frozen dessert, you’ll quickly be in strawberry Heaven.
3. Peanut Butter Moo’d Smoothie
I suddenly realize that I might need to stop calling things my “favorite.” I forgot about the sheer decadent bliss that is the peanut butter moo’d smoothie. This 5-minute treat requires only four ingredients, and two of them are chocolate milk and peanut butter. I can’t be sure, but this one might even be tastier than the strawberries wild one. UGH! It’s so hard to choose a favorite. Luckily, as long as you have your own blender at home, you won’t ever have to choose a favorite because you can have a new flavor every day. You’ll also need some frozen yogurt and a banana for this one. Hmmm… peanut butter, chocolate milk, and a banana? Maybe they should’ve called this one the Elvis. You certainly can’t help falling in love with it; that’s for sure.
4. Aloha Pineapple Smoothie
This smoothie is about half country orchard and half tropical fruit grove. It combines strawberries, bananas, pineapple juice, pineapple sherbert, frozen yogurt, and ice. It perfectly balances the sweet with the tart and tangy for an undeniably delicious flavor. This recipe also reminds me that you can always add a spoonful of collagen peptides into any of these smoothies if you want a bit of a collagen boost in the mornings.
5. Peach Pleasure
The peach pleasure is yet another five-ingredient, 3-minute smoothie that takes minimal effort to make but gives you a maximum amount of yumminess. The smoothie includes a banana, orange juice, and orange sherbet, but the strongest flavor that comes through is from the cup of fresh, frozen, or canned peaches. The only thing peachier than this smoothie is the state of Georgia.
6. Apples ‘N Greens Smoothie
If you like to start your day off with balanced servings of fruits and veggies, then the apples’ n greens smoothie is the breakfast drink for you. It has all the delicious fruits we love to add to our smoothies – bananas, mangoes, and peaches – along with even more fruit juice from apples and strawberries. However, you’ll also use an entire cup of green vegetable juice blend in the mixture. It’s one of the tastiest and healthiest ways to start your morning.
7. Mango Ginger Kale Green Smoothie
Here’s another option for those of you who like to balance your fruits and veggies. This smoothie truly has it all. It’s smooth, healthy, and insanely yummy. You’ll get plenty of vitamins, minerals, and other health benefits from the kale and ginger. However, the subtle sweetness of the mangoes and peaches masks any bitterness from those ingredients. There’s also a bit of lime juice, which brings a hint of tartness to the mix! Add some ice and filtered water, and you’re all set! Note: If the smoothie isn’t quite sweet enough for your tastes, you can add a bit of honey or maple syrup to sweeten it up a little more.
8. Acai Smoothie
It goes without saying that you’ve probably heard about all the amazing virtues and benefits you can get from acai berries. So calling this smoothie the acai smoothie is probably a huge selling point for Jamba for just that reason. However, I think calling it the very berry smoothie would be more fitting. With blueberries, strawberries, acai berry juice, and raspberry sherbert, this smoothie is every berry lover’s dream. There’s also some lime sherbet, ice, and soy milk added for good measure.
9. Jamba Juice Mango-A-Go-Go
Mango-a-go-go is such a perfect name. I’m disappointed I didn’t think of it myself. It also perfectly describes this smoothie, which contains mangoes, mango passion fruit juice, pineapple sherbert, and ice. It’s every bit as tropical as the Caribbean passion smoothie – maybe even more so – but the flavor is subtly different. Still, if you’re into tropical flavors, you’ll enjoy this one.
10. Acai Berry Smoothie Bowl
Smoothies are always a great way to start the day, but sometimes, you just want something you can chew! Most of these smoothies are just as healthy and hearty as this smoothie bowl, but there’s something about eating (rather than drinking) that makes you feel fuller. You’ll build your smoothie bowl on a base of plain yogurt and acai juice or acai puree. Add all your favorite berries, some banana slices, and some or all of the recommended toppings. You can even get creative and come up with toppings of your own. Making the bowl takes a little longer than making the smoothies, but even so, you shouldn’t have to spend more than 10 minutes pulling it together. Click on a star to rate it!
